Annual Toy Run at The Ranch Harley-Davidson®

The police escorted ride starts at The Ranch Harley-Davidson®, 4101 State Highway 6 South in College Station. Registration will begins at 8:00 am. Coffee and donuts will be provided during registration. There is no cost to ride and you don't need to bring anything. All motorcycles are welcome. There will be a ride meeting at 8:45 am and motorcycles will go out at 9:00 am.  The ride will be led by Santa and Mrs. Claus on a Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle, along with toy run volunteers and sponsors. Each year, The Toy Run Foundation partners up with local schools, churches, and social organizations to receive nominations of families. they focus on those that might be a struggling veteran/single-parent household, they might have gone through a traumatic event recently, families with disabled children, and families that are just down on their luck. Once all nominations turned in, an extremely thorough interviewing process begins. It includes an initial phone interview, an in-home interview, and a final committee selection meeting that ensures the right families are chosen. After receiving roughly 70 nominations each year between 12 and 15families are chosen. This is how the name of the foundation is slightly misleading. Toys are a very small piece to the puzzle. Typically,  families that are selected lack basic necessities such as beds, blankets, clothing, and furniture, so they are provided with the major items that’ll help them back on their feet. Clothes and/or toy donations are not accepted simply because different families are chosen each year that will have different needs. Monetary support is the best way to help. Absolutely 100% of the money raised is used to buy the children in each family their needs, and of course some toys from Santa.
