Ride of Honor
Monroe, Michigan
The ride starts at Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Heck Park, 1095 N. Dixie Highway in Monroe. Registration begins at 8:30 am. Online registration is also available. The ride fee is $20.00 per bike. The ride fee includes a patch. Motorcycles go out at 10:30 am on an escorted ride to Sylvania, Ohio. The ride ends with a brief ceremony recognizing past, present and future veterans. Food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit Veterans Matter, housing over 2800 homeless vets and counting. In honor of all of those who have served, the goal is to house ten more homeless veterans at $750 each. For more information or to register go to veteransmatter.org/ride.
According to the Flag Code any American Flag that is worn, damaged or tattered beyond repair should be cared for in a respectful and dignified manner. Veterans deserve the same respect.
