May 4 - 10, 2008                Alliance, North Platte, and Scottsbluff,  Nebraska
The Pony Express Rides Again Children's Mental Health Week
On may 4th the registration is at 10:30 am at Eagles Club in Alliance and the ride begins at 11:00 am. Riders in Scottsbluff will meet at Scottsbluff National Guard Armory, 2810 1st Avenue at 10:30 am and the ride begins at 10:30 am. The ride will stop for the night of May 4th in Sidney.  On May 5th the ride will continue from Sidney to North Platte and stop for the night in North Platte. On May 6 riders can join the ride in North Platte leaving at 3:00 pm from harvest Christian Fellowship, 1501 South Dewey. The ride will go to Kearney for the night. On May 7th the ride will continue to Norfolk where it will stop for the night.  On may 8th the ride continues on to Omaha. May 9 the ride continues on to Lincoln. The ride finishes in Lincoln on May 10th with a ride through town. Activities along the route will include music, entertainment and more. Participating motorcyclists will collect letters from families, youth and other interested parties from all across the state for delivery to Governor Heinemann in Lincoln. The event will take place at the west edge on Randolph on Highway 20 beginning at 4:00 pm on the 23rd. The event will include rodeo bike games, fun runs, burn out pit, vendors, camping music and more. Admission for members is $35.00 for couples or $20.00 for a single person in advance. Member admission at the gate is $45.00 for couples or $25.00 for a single person. Non members are admitted for $55.00 for couples or $30.00 for a single person. Day passes are available for $15.00. Riders may start at Dillon Brothers Harley Davidson at 3838 N Cleveland Blvd in Omaha or at Ducati Omaha at 3615 S 149th Street in Omaha. Registration at both locations will be from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Rides from both locations will end with appetizers and an auction. Ride fee is $30.00 for the rider and $45.00 with a passenger. The bikes games will include trophies for the slow race, weenie bite, egg drop, water balloon toss and more. There will be a Mayors choice award for best bike.
