Palm Beach and Martin County 2nd Annual 'Big' Poker Run To Benefit The
Family Of Jupiter Police Officer Bruce St. Laurent
Palm Beach and Martin County Community Businesses United for the Big
Brothers Big Sisters Poker Run
Stuart, FL (September 26, 2012)- Palm Beach International Raceway and Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties, Inc. (BBBS) unite to
host the 2nd Annual Big Poker Run on Saturday, September 29, 2012 ending at Palm
Beach International Raceway’s Bike Bash. BBBS would like to invite the Palm
Beach and Martin County communities to participate in our next ‘Big’ event
whereby the
proceeds
from the Poker Run and Bike Bash will be donated to the family of Jupiter Police
Officer Bruce St. Laurent, killed in the president’s motorcade.
The Poker Run Routes:
North Route:
1. Harry and The Natives
2. Uncle Mick’s
3. Palm Beach International Raceway
South Route:
1. Harley Davidson of Palm Beach
2. JJ Muggs Stadium Grill
3. Palm Beach International Raceway
Big Brothers Big Sisters ‘Big’ Poker Run will kick off a day of motorcycle mania
at Palm Beach International Raceway’s Bike Bash presented by by Harley Davidson
of Palm Beach! Bikers will make their way to Palm Beach International Raceway to
enjoy motorcycle drag racing, top fuel bikes, grudge racing, burn out contest,
bike show, tattoo contest, bikini contest, live music, vendors and more!
· First Bike Out: 10AM, Last Bike Out: 11:00AM, and Last Bike in 2:30PM
· $10 Per Hand, $5 Per Additional Hand, and $2 For Extra Cards
· Best Hand: $400, 2nd Best Hand: $200 and Worst Hand: $150
“BBBS would like to thank our poker run stops and Palm Beach International
Raceway for agreeing to participate in our ‘Big’ event,” said Fund Development
Director Kelly Ring. “We are lucky to live in such a charitable and giving
community, and we thank everyone for their support. BBBS will use the funds
raised efficiently and effectively to improve the lives of our local children.”
BBS provides children facing adversity aged 6-17 with volunteer mentors who
serve as positive role models. Since 1986 the organization has provided mentors
to children in Martin County and since July 2010 in Palm Beach County. Big
Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) recognized the Martin County
organization in 2007 as one of the 35 best performing agencies nationwide. BBBSA
recognized CEO William P. Bee Jr. as “CEO of the Year- Small Agency Category” in
2007. South Florida Business Leader Magazine ranked BBBS in 2009, 2010 and again
in 2011 as one of the top 100 South Florida small businesses. Visit
